Following a successful application to Cardiff Council, St John's Church Hall has been awarded a grant to undertake the following work:

Increase the depth of the existing insulation in the roof space above the main hall from 100mm to 300mm.

This work is scheduled for Monday 1st September.

Install sound absorbing panels to improve the acoustics in the hall.

Delivery is scheduled for Tuesday 9 September in the afternoon. Eleven panels have been ordered ranging in size from 1.2 metres square to 3 metres x1.2 metres. An installation date has yet to be arranged.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by having to store the panels in the main hall pending installation, however we do not anticipate having to cancel any activities to allow installation.

We are really excited about this, particularly as it will considerably improve the acoustics and sound quality in the hall for all hirers.
