St John's Church Hall

Available for a wide range of events

The Parish of Radyr makes available its Parish Hall adjacent to St John's Church, Rachel Close, Danescourt to independent organisations and individuals, on a regular weekly or one off booking basis.  The main activity area provides space suitable for uses such as childrens’ activities, further education courses, personal development activities and general meetings.  The Hall is also used as the local electoral polling station for Danescourt.

A Brief Description

The hall comprises a main entrance and waiting area, off which are 4 toilets including one dedicated disabled toilet.  There is a small room off the entrance area.

The main activity area has gross dimensions of 50’x 20’, with an effective length of 43’ due to storage of various items at the north end of the hall.  Natural lighting is provided by three tall windows on the east or car park wall, and four small high windows on the west or church wall.  All windows are fitted with curtains.  Artificial lighting is provided by 6 double fluorescent light tube fittings.  Heating is by two gas fires with protective grills.  There are six double power sockets, three on the west wall, and three on the east wall.  There are a number of fixed leg and folding leg tables, and lightweight stackable chairs.

The kitchen offers a gas cooker, fridge, microwave, hot water urn and kettle, and communal crockery.  There are two sinks, one with double stainless steel drainers, the other a small washhand basin.

The hall is not alarmed, but the front door is easily lockable and has a spyglass and doorbell.  There is an emergency exit at the rear of the main hall on the north wall.
